DOLPHIN CONNECTION TEXAS

INGLESIDE ON THE BAY, TEXAS

05/25/10Surfs Up
What a great spring! It's been a tad windy but, nothing like last year. Most of our winter Texan friends have migrated back north to escape the heat they seek during the winter. Now its time to prepare for our busiest time of the year. We always begin the same way, by leaving town. We head up to the Guadalupe River, by Gruene, Texas for some kayaking, white water rafting and cold beer. If you get up that way we recommend staying with our friends at the "Gruene River Inn", you'll love it. We just got back. Wasn't long enough but what a hoot! The first two days the river was rolling at approx. 4700 cu ft per min. What a ride! I've never gotten into surfing. Main reason, it's the only sport that includes a shark, but I feel the appeal, being propelled down the river by the force of nature. It's no wonder the dolphins enjoy it so much. Doesn't matter the age, or if they are riding a ships bow wake or surfing the wake of our boat, they have a blast and so did we. We are booking up fast for the summer so if you need a dolphin fix make your reservations soon. Hope you have a dolphin day!
